Stéphanie et Mohamed nous ont concocté un séjour familial (de 8 personnes de 13 à 69 ans) privatisé sur mesure ! Au départ de Marrakech nous avons rejoint le Sahara à bord d un mini bus puis les derniers km en pick up! Paysages magnifiques. Arrivés pour notre première nuit au bivouac fixe, découverte de l équipe, surf dans les dunes, repas avec danses et chants, très belle immersion. Nuit dans des Chambres avec vues sur les dunes puis départ pour 2 nuits en bivouac nomade avec une formidable équipe: Hassan, notre guide, Brahim, notre cuisinier ainsi que Abdellah et Ali nos chameliers, tous autant attentionnés les uns que les autres! Nous nous sommes régalés au sens propre comme au sens figuré ! Avec la cuisine typique de Brahim (variée, largement suffisante et très bonne!) , les paysages (magnifiques et changeants du Sahara), les échanges avec l équipe /la famille , les balades à dromadaires, les couchers de soleil et nuits étoilées ! Troisième jour , on vient nous chercher en pickup et là encore une belle aventure qui restera marquée dans nos mémoires ! Direction Erg Chegaga. Retour au bivouac fixe: Hammam, soirée danse et chants puis retour à Marrakech le lendemain. Parenthèse hors du temps, déconnexion complète, paysages et aventures plein les yeux! Le tout super bien organisé. Un conseil: Allez y !!!

Our history

Who are we ?
Welcome to Rimal Travel! We are Mohamed and Abidine Souilam, blue men from M'Hamid El Ghizlane. Located in the great south of Morocco, M'Hamid El Ghizlane is the last village before entering the grandiose and desert landscapes.

Born of nomadic parents, we grew up in Saharan traditions. As children, we liked to tell the magic of the great outdoors to travelers from all over the world passing through our village.

We have created our own Rimal Travel agency to share our experience with you. Rimal means "sand dunes" in Arabic. We welcome you for authentic treks in the heart of the Moroccan desert.

Our spirit
Passionate about our region and our culture, we promote ecotourism, that is to say that our trips are centered on discovering natural environments with the greatest respect for the environment and the well-being of local populations.

So we work with our partners in the village: guides, camel drivers, drivers, cooks but also businesses such as grocery stores, textile shops...

A little history
We, the Bedouins of our region, are called the Blue Men. This name comes from the indigo dye used to tint traditional dresses and turbans staining our skin blue.

For centuries, our nomadic ancestors crossed the desert for trade purposes (spices, tea, salt, textiles). They were accompanied by dromedaries and thus formed caravans.

These journeys began in western Morocco, in the city of Guelmime, passed through M'Hamid El Ghizlane and then joined Timbuktu in Mali.

It's up to you to discover these paths taken around the Draa Valley, far from the hustle and bustle, where the trip is a real escape

The Camp

A palm grove in the heart of the dunes

3 km from the village and already in the heart of the dunes, we welcome you to our fixed camp. Our goal in designing it was not to harm the charm and authenticity of the place.

12 spacious and independent rooms are available, each with a capacity of 2, 3 or 4 people. Traditionally built in earth and well insulated from the outside climate, they are equipped with quality bedding. The bathrooms are equipped with hot showers and toilets. A large living room is also at your disposal as well as a dining area under a Berber tent, reserved for taking meals carefully prepared by our cook.

The camp is an essential and ideal passage before the departure and at the arrival of the desert treks. Of extreme tranquility this little corner of paradise aspires to rest and contemplation
